Face the Real World!

August 17, 2024

Stop living in illusions about finding perfect employees on the cheap.
This constant moaning about "no one to work" and "impossible to find" is really getting old.

Stop believing in miracles and reminiscing about "the son of a mom's friend" - the perfect "John" who was just a gift from the heavens. He was an amazing developer and, oh, he had six fingers on his left hand, and that's precisely why he was so super.

Remember how this John came to you. He didn't just fall from the sky, and you certainly didn't fall in love with him at first sight. And his six-fingered hand initially caused you more suspicion than admiration. Stop idealizing him and viewing him through rose-colored glasses.

You need to decide: is the result important to you, or do you just want the work done the way you think is right?

The difference here is huge.

Stop making up reality - focus on finding someone with the necessary potential who can accomplish the task, not someone who fits into your fantasies and dreams about the perfect employee.
