The post about 15 interviews and the comments it inspired got me thinking.
Dear candidates, we've entered a challenging period where there will be more interviews than you expect.
Where competition is higher than you believe.
Where the time and effort required for job searching will exceed what you're accustomed to.
Yes, this is the new crisis. There's plenty of work, but it's hard to land a job.
You need to adapt, be flexible, endure, and wait.
Don't like it? And rightly so. I don't like it either.
But we need to adapt to new circumstances.
Sounds easy to say, but how do you actually do it?
Perhaps like this:
- Stop criticizing and start listening?
- Change your mindset and understand that flexibility is not a weakness, but a strength.
- Develop new skills and be ready for continuous learning.
- Take care of your emotional and physical health to avoid burnout.
- Step out of your comfort zone and try new roles and industries.
- Build and maintain professional connections.
- Look for opportunities to volunteer or engage in project work to stay active and broaden your experience.
- Don't fear rejections and failures, but see them as lessons and motivation for further growth.
We all need to get used to this new order of things.
This period demands more effort from us but also opens up new opportunities for those who are ready to face challenges.
Adapt, grow, and remember that even in the most difficult situations, there are always paths to success.
